Welcome To Dosthill Colts Football Club

Dosthill Colts was originally formed in 1990 as a Boys Junior League Club when a group of parents and youngsters who had a regular kick around in a local field formed the club to allow their youngsters to participate in organised and structured matches within the Tamworth Junior League.

Over the years The Colts have developed into an FA Chartered Club offering junior football for boys, girls, men and women in the Tamworth area. These teams play across the Tamworth Junior, Lichfield Junior, Central Warwickshire Girls, Midland Floodlit, Birmingham AFA and Midland Combination Leagues.

Dosthill Colts Senior Team was formed at the start of the 2006/07 season, now in their fourth season in the Midland Combination having secured promotion in the last three seasons to play in the Premier Division this season.

The Colts entered into the Midland Floodlit League in 2007/08 and they too secured promotion last season to play in the Premiership this season. History was made last season when The Colts were accepted into the FA Vase and FA Youth Cup for the first time in their history. This was a fantastic achievement after just two seasons at Senior level. This year will see The Colts once again playing in these competitions.

The players come from the Tamworth area and most have come through Junior League football with Dosthill Colts and other local teams. Supporting the process we also have a Reserve Team in the Midland Combination Division Three and various other teams from Under 7 upwards. This season The Colts have twenty three teams in competition.

The principal and success of the club is based around player development, to allow players of any age or standard to develop in the game to achieve their own individual potential.

The journey from those early days in 1990 to the present day has been one of adventure for the club and the adventure continues as The Colts debut this season in the Midland Football Combination top flight.
